These terms apply to the Salonly website and directory, the salon panel and the Salonly mobile app, all operated by FMC Software (“Salonly”, “we”). By using them you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data.
1. For salons
A salon's directory listing is compiled by Salonly from public business records and is free for the salon. Appointment requests sent through the listing are forwarded to the salon; the salon confirms or declines them and may ask us to update or remove the listing at any time. Where a salon uses the Salonly panel or app under a written agreement, that agreement governs; if such an account is suspended (for non-payment or misuse), the panel and app become read-only: your book stays readable so you can export it, but new writes stop until the account is restored.
The salon is responsible for the accuracy of what it publishes (services, prices, hours, photos), for having the right to use the photos it uploads, and for how it treats its customers’ data. Salonly processes customer data on the salon’s behalf.
2. For customers
A booking made through Salonly is a booking with the salon, not with us. Prices, cancellation and no-show rules are the salon’s. The app lets you move or cancel a visit within the window the salon allows; outside that window, contact the salon directly.
Your account is created from a salon’s invitation. Keep your sign-in code private; you are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time from the app.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use Salonly to send spam, to scrape other salons’ data, to post reviews you did not earn, or to interfere with the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
4. Our content
The Salonly name and wordmark, the site design, the written pages and blog posts, the directory as a compiled whole, and the illustrations used on listings and category pages are ours. You may link to any Salonly page freely, and search engines and AI assistants are welcome to crawl, index and quote us under our robots.txt. What you may not do, without our written permission, is copy our illustrations or pages onto another site or product, serve our image files from your own pages, or reuse the directory as a dataset. The illustrations are computer-generated and carry that declaration in their metadata; this section is a condition of using Salonly, not a claim about any other right. Tell us through our help form if you want to use something of ours. The answer is often yes.
5. Availability and changes
We work to keep Salonly available and will announce planned maintenance to salons in advance. We may change features over time; material changes to these terms are announced to salons by email before they take effect.
6. Liability
Salonly is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, or for the acts of a salon or a customer. Our total liability to a salon is limited to the amounts, if any, the salon paid Salonly in the twelve months before the claim.
7. Estimated prices and appointment requests
Prices shown on business listings are estimatesproduced by Salonly from publicly available market data for the business’s area and category. They are not set by, and are not offers from, the business. The final price, availability and terms of any service are determined solely by the business, which confirms them before an appointment exists. Salonly is not a party to any transaction between you and a business and accepts no responsibility for differences between an estimated price and the price charged. Submitting an appointment request does not create a booking until the business confirms it.
